Meet Tink 🐾

Tink is a beautiful, petite Miniature Schnauzer who is searching for a very special forever home. She is already spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find a family who will love and appreciate her for exactly who she is.

Tink is a naturally timid, sensitive, and reserved little girl with a sweet personality. Unlike many of our dogs, Tink was not raised in our home. She originally came from a more traditional kennel-type environment, which may have influenced how she responds to unfamiliar people and situations.

​

Tink is the daughter of our beloved Chicha and Commander, both of whom have incredibly sweet, loving temperaments and have never displayed aggression. Her mother, Chicha, is especially dear to us and truly one of the sweetest girls you could ever meet!

Although Tink was originally considered for our breeding program, we ultimately decided that a companion home would be the best fit for her.

Tink is the type of girl who needs a little extra time to build confidence and trust. She may be shy initially, but once she feels comfortable, she enjoys affection, cuddles, and being close to her people.

A Little About Tink’s Previous Placement:

We believe in being completely transparent about our dogs and their individual needs.

Tink was previously placed in a new home, but unfortunately, it was not the right fit. During her time there, she displayed defensive behavior, including biting when being picked up or put down. This behavior has not been observed in our home or with other individuals, including strangers and veterinary staff.

While we cannot say exactly what caused these reactions, we recognize that Tink is a sensitive girl who may become uncomfortable or overwhelmed in certain situations, particularly during transitions or unfamiliar handling. In the weeks since her return to us, she has displayed no aggression in interaction with our family, vet staff, or strangers who have wanted to pet her.

What We’re Looking For:

Our ideal home for Tink is one that is calm, patient, loving, and understanding. We would especially love to find someone who has experience with timid or sensitive dogs and understands the importance of allowing them to adjust at their own pace.

Because of her history, we believe a quiet, adult-only home would be the best fit. Her future family should be comfortable respecting her boundaries and using gentle, positive reinforcement to help her build confidence.

Tink doesn’t need someone to change who she is. She needs someone who will understand her, respect her boundaries, and give her the opportunity to feel safe and secure.

Our goal is not simply to find Tink a home, but to find her the RIGHT home where she can be loved, understood, and cherished for the rest of her life.
